Berkshire Patriots: Stories of Sacrifice

Author and Marine veteran Dennis Pregent has released his third book, Berkshire Patriots: Stories of Sacrifice. This luminous collection recounts twenty-eight individual stories of war heroes across three centuries, captivating readers with suspenseful reports and first-person handwritten testaments. Pregent sourced many rare documents, some never seen in print, such as POW postcards from behind enemy lines in Manchuria and SOS notes carried by messenger pigeon to operational command.

Berkshire Patriots belongs on the bookshelf of everyone who loves history and appreciates courage, sacrifice, and selflessness. Its stories will occasionally amuse and often sadden, but always swell the heart. Read with a group and compare favorite episodes, perhaps be encouraged to share your own wartime experiences. These true-life stories inspire hope for America and pride in her heroes.
